frequently asked questions

do you offer a cake tasting before i book?

HOW AND when should i order?

how much will a cake cost?

what if my guests have food allergies?

do you offer delivery?

Yes of course, this is one of the undeniably best parts of event planning! Cake tastings are offered three times annually for wedding cake clients only. Tastings are not required to book and slots fill quickly once availability is posted. If you're interested in a tasting, feel free to email me or follow along my Instagram where I post updates on upcoming offerings.

All inquiries will be directed to my wedding cake or party cake order form to initiate the process. The information supplied via your online form will provide me with a quick understanding of what you're looking for. Please note, it may take a few days for me to respond to your inquiry (cake is always in season!), but I am thrilled to chat about your order as soon as I am able! As I only take on a certain amount of clients per month, popular dates will get booked up in advance. Wedding cake bookings are open all year, party cake bookings open a few months months prior.

Yes. Cake delivery is insurance for your cake, ensuring it arrives to your destination in perfect condition and looking its absolute best. My designs often includes delicate detailing that just isn’t suitable for collection, so I much prefer to take the responsibility, leaving you to relax on your big day. Once the cake leaves my hands, I no longer assume responsibility for any damage. This includes heat damage or damage caused by accident. Delivery is required on any cake over a single tier and on all wedding cakes. Delivery fee depends on cake size and location.

The nature of a bespoke service means that every last detail is designed just for you. This includes the price. You’ll receive a full quote following your order form submittal, once you’ve told me the essential info such as date, number of guests, and style you love. I have a minimum order amount of $200.

Honeybee Cake Co. does not cater to any food allergies. Please note that my cakes do contain gluten, dairy, soy, and possible tree nut and peanut cross contamination. Gluten-friendly cakes do have risk of cross-contamination.

Do you offer other dessert bar options?

I like to focus all of my creative energy on gorgeous edible centerpiece cakes. If you prefer other dessert options with your cake, I have many small businesses I can recommend.

Do you offer SMASH CAKES?

Yes! I offer smash cakes as an add on to any cake over 24 servings.

I noticed you travel to charlotte, NC. How does that work?

I am so excited to be able to offer this location to clients. I am originally from Charlotte, NC, so when deciding to add this city onto my travel portfolio, it was a no brainer. I will be operating under the North Carolina Cottage Food Law, my insurance policy that extends nationwide, and of course, following all requirements under my food safety certification. Most traveling cake artists need to charge a travel and lodging fee. I only charge a travel fee to this location.

where are you located?

My commercial cake studio is located in Apache Junction, Arizona where I share bakery space with the incredibly talented Benny Blanco Tortillas.  I deliver to all of Phoenix and the surrounding areas of the Valley. This includes Sedona, Payson, Tucson, Flagstaff - and more recently, I offer travel to Charlotte, NC.
